Instrumento para estrellar es una investigación acerca de la gestualidad que emerge de las movilizaciones sociales ocurridas en Latinoamérica durante los últimos años. El trabajo incluye la selección y relevamiento de fotos y videos de manifestaciones y protestas . Este corpus de material visual es incorporado en tanto objeto de estudio por los performers que a través de una práctica determinada ,que buscó reproducir la mecánica física de los cuerpos, su fuerza, su resistencia, su pesadez, su organización, su oposición, su liviandad. Se trabajó sobre la reconstrucción y deconstrucción, tomando como fuente el gesto de aquellos cuerpos testimoniales, su movimiento y forma, para reconfigurarlos en el tiempo y espacio de la representación.
Instrument for crashing investigates the gestures that emerge from the social protests that have taken place in Latin America in recent years. The work includes a photo and video selection of demonstrations and protests. The performers incorporate this visual material as an object of study. They reproduce the physical mechanics of the bodies, their strength, resistance, heaviness, organization, opposition, and lightness.
The work was based on reconstruction and deconstruction, starting from the gestures of those testimonial bodies, their movement and form, and reconfiguring them in the representation’s time and space.
